a Mural for Our Community!

Core Arts Education is bringing a hands-on mural and carpentry program to teens at the recreation center this summer. Every contribution, large or small, helps young people learn new skills and leave their mark on the community.

Visual arts instruction for New Orleans public schools

Cori Pillows is a Louisiana Certified Talented Visual Artist Instructor who offers services to coordinate IEP hours for students. Contract with me to bring specialized visual arts teaching to your school and give your most talented young artists the focused instruction they need to grow.

Air Dry Clay Sculpting – December 15th

No wheel and no kiln. Shape a trinket dish, mini vase or small sculpture and learn the basic hand-building techniques along the way.

Weekly · Max 5 students · Pieces dry in 24 to 72 hours, so you take them home to finish drying or pick them up later.

Terracotta Pot Painting – December – 16th

Paint a terracotta pot in your own design, then plant it. A good first class, a good gift, and a good excuse to buy another plant.

Christmas Crafting for Family & Friends – December 17th

A new project every session, made for kids and adults to do together. Bring the kids, a friend, or your grandmother.

Three Saturdays a month · Max 10 people · Kids under 10 attend with an adult.

One-on-one lessons built around your goals, whether you are picking up a brush for the first time or working on your next piece.

Oil Painting, One-on-One

Personal instruction in oil painting techniques, color mixing, composition and finishing. Tell me your experience level and what you want to paint, and we will plan your sessions around it.
